Our small-batch nut butter bars are made with whole food ingredients like our handmade peanut butter, crispy house-baked granola, non-GMO plant-based protein, quinoa, and dates. These bars are also lightly sweetened and held together by raw Organic wildflower honey and pure brown rice fiber, and they never contain soy, gluten, palm, dairy, or a long list of other ingredients you wouldn’t want to eat.
These delicious bars pack 11 grams of protein, each, to help fuel (or recover from) your adventures, no matter where the day takes you.
ABOUT OUR BARS
In the early 2000s, our Co-Founder Megan was a triathlete looking for a nutritious energy bar that tasted great, was easy to digest, and was made with whole, real ingredients in line with her values. Nothing checked all these boxes, so she made her own with natural peanut butter, whole grains, and dried fruit. When she and Mark started Big Spoon Roasters, she of course started using Big Spoon nut butters in her bar recipes, and our first line of craft-made, small-batch bars was born.
We will always believe that balanced, on-the-go nutrition doesn't have to sacrifice integrity, flavor, or freshness. The proof is in our fresh, handcrafted nut butter bars, which are still made in small batches with our own fresh-roasted nut butter and the best whole ingredients out there. Equally tasty and nutritious without compromise, this is probably the kind of bar you'd make at home if you only had time. Especially coveted by our competitive athlete friends, these fiber-rich, high-protein, antioxidant powerhouses are perfect as fuel for intense workouts and post-adventure recoveries and are also simply delicious hunger-curbing snacks.
Sustainable Packaging
Every packaging choice matters when it comes to the health of our planet. Our bar wrappers are some of the thinnest and lightest on the market. We lightened the weight of these wrappers 35% in 2014 and 70% in 2018, significantly reducing our carbon footprint.
SHIPPING RATES & TURNAROUND TIMES
Our handcrafted nut butters and bars are freshly made in small batches and typically ship in 2-3 business days. We offer real–time shipping rates for services including USPS Priority Mail, USPS Retail Ground, FedEx – 2nd Day, and FedEx Home Delivery. These options include estimated shipping and arrival dates, but please note that delivery dates are not guaranteed, as they are subject to change by carrier. We don’t add any handling fees to your orders, and we work hard to negotiate the best shipping rates available.

INGREDIENT INTEGRITY
Each ingredient we use is carefully sourced based on our strict standards for taste, sustainability, transparency, and the fair and ethical treatment of everyone involved in producing it. Most of our ingredients are Certified Organic and all are GMO-free. We work exclusively with whole, natural foods, and you won’t find gluten, soy, or anything described as a “flavor” among our ingredients. We also never use fillers or shelf stabilizers like palm oil, hydrogenated oils, or partially hydrogenated oils.
SMALL-BATCH CRAFT
Our skilled food artisans roast, toast, measure, and mix each batch by hand to exacting standards to get the pinnacle of taste and freshness from each ingredient. The small scale of our batch process allows us to craft each jar and bar with incredible precision and care you can taste. This level of focus also allows us to carefully inspect and taste each product to make sure it meets our standards before it is packaged and delivered. Our commitment to keeping production in-house ensures the highest quality standards while also creating sustainable jobs for our team.

I discovered these bars after ordering Big Spoon almond butter from Seasonal Roots here in VA. I was looking for a protein bar that was all natural and made of real food. I now order one of these variety packs every month and I have a bar in every purse and car. It's not just the taste, which is important, but I've choked down plenty of healthy things. It's also that they provide a solid protein hit without all of the chemicals, sugar substitutes, and generally non-food items. That's important to me, and I really appreciate the work that goes into making these bars.
