Because it’s the first to combine the incomparable crunch of Hubs Peanuts’ Virginia XL peanuts with the scrumptious roastiness and smooth texture of our directly sourced High Oleic Cordoban Runner peanuts. Blended with touches of fresh sorghum syrup and Jacobsen sea salt, this crunchtacular approach to an American classic might be the most addictive recipe we’ve ever created.
What’s sorghum syrup? Made from the sorghum plant, a gluten-free cereal grain, we call it the maple syrup of the South, but it has a distinctly darker, richer flavor than maple. Naturally rich in iron, calcium, and potassium, our sorghum syrup is slowly cooked in small batches at Muddy Pond Sorghum Mill in Tennessee.
Since its debut in 1932, the approach to making crunchy peanut butter hasn’t changed much - until now. Traditionally, crunchy peanut pieces and halves are blended into a finely ground peanut butter base. In every crunchy peanut butter we’ve seen, the same variety of peanut is used for both the “crunch” and the base. While there are several delicious examples of this tradition, we thought it could be better. We asked, “Why not choose the world’s crunchiest peanut variety for the ‘crunch’ and the best peanut for ground peanut butter as the base?” It’s a simple question with a delicious answer.
On top of its sublime crunch and fresh-roasted flavor, our Crunchy Peanut Butter is a prime example of how nutritious nut butters can be. Grown by a close-knit community of farmers on North Carolina’s Coastal Plain, our High-Oleic Runner peanuts are 30% higher in heart-healthy fats than other peanuts and are great sources of protein, iron, calcium, magnesium, and the antioxidant resveratrol. These High-Oleic peanuts also offer natural protections against oxidation (rancidity) and the mold that can produce aflatoxin. Every lot of peanuts we receive is also thoroughly tested and given a clean bill of health before we accept it into inventory.

INGREDIENT INTEGRITY
Each ingredient we use is carefully sourced based on our strict standards for taste, sustainability, transparency, and the fair and ethical treatment of everyone involved in producing it. Most of our ingredients are Certified Organic and all are GMO-free. We work exclusively with whole, natural foods, and you won’t find gluten, soy, or anything described as a “flavor” among our ingredients. We also never use fillers or shelf stabilizers like palm oil, hydrogenated oils, or partially hydrogenated oils.

Our skilled food artisans roast, toast, measure, and mix each batch by hand to exacting standards to get the pinnacle of taste and freshness from each ingredient. The small scale of our batch process allows us to craft each jar and bar with incredible precision and care you can taste. This level of focus also allows us to carefully inspect and taste each product to make sure it meets our standards before it is packaged and delivered. This honestly tastes like freshly made peanut butter, completely different from the typical store brands in glass jars or even other healthy online brands I’ve tried. The texture and flavor are rich and natural without tasting overly processed or artificial. My brother was visiting and loved it so much he took a jar home with him.
I also really appreciate the clean ingredients. I have an autoimmune condition, so being mindful about reducing unnecessary additives and toxins in my everyday environment is important to me, and this is one of the few peanut butters that genuinely makes me feel good about what I’m eating. Definitely purchasing again.
